FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Everything you need to know before joining a Bali Jewelry Masterclass workshop.

01 THE WORKSHOP

Yes. No previous jewelry-making experience is required. Our instructors guide you through the process step by step.

The standard workshop duration is 2 hours. Some designs or customizations may require additional time.

Our main workshop experience focuses on making your own silver jewelry, with rings as the primary and most popular option. Available designs and other options can be discussed with our team.

Yes. This is a hands-on workshop. You will take part in the jewelry-making process with guidance from our instructors. For safety or technical reasons, an instructor may assist with or take over certain steps when necessary.

Yes. You can choose from BJM sample/catalog designs, and custom ideas may also be possible depending on complexity, material requirements, and available workshop time.

Not necessarily. Every piece is handmade, so small variations in shape, dimensions, texture, finishing, details, and overall appearance are a natural part of the process. Our samples are design references rather than exact production templates.

Yes. You take your finished jewelry home when your workshop is completed, the same day.

02 PRICING & MATERIALS

The standard workshop includes instructor guidance, the hands-on jewelry-making experience, up to 6 grams of silver material per guest, and one finished piece of jewelry to take home. Optional add-ons, additional silver, special customization, and additional workshop time may cost extra.

Up to 6 grams of silver per guest is included in the standard workshop price.

The 6 grams is a material allowance, not a guarantee that every design or ring size can be made using 6 grams. The amount required depends on the design, dimensions, ring size, and making process.

Additional silver is charged at IDR 95,000 per gram.

For example, if your chosen design and size are estimated to require 9 grams, 6 grams are included and the additional 3 grams would cost IDR 300,000.

The estimated material requirement and additional cost will be explained to you before the workshop begins.

The included 6 grams is a material allowance rather than a quantity of silver purchased by the guest. Unused allowance is not refundable, exchangeable, or provided separately as unused silver.

Some material may also be lost or remain as residue during the handmade jewelry-making process.

Depending on the design and availability, gemstones, custom work, or other add-ons may be possible and may involve an additional charge.

Any additional cost will be explained before work begins.

No additional material, add-on, or customization charge will be added without your prior approval.

Before starting, we review your chosen design, size, estimated material requirement, and relevant add-ons with you.

Additional workshop time is IDR 100,000 per hour, calculated in 30-minute increments at IDR 50,000 per additional 30 minutes.

If a chosen design or customization is expected to require additional time, we will explain this before starting whenever reasonably possible.

Additional time caused by operational delays on our side is not charged to the guest.

03 BOOKING & PAYMENT

Advance reservation is recommended so we can prepare your workshop and confirm availability. BJM generally accepts reservations at least one day in advance.

Regular bookings may be confirmed without a deposit. For larger groups, special arrangements, or certain bookings, BJM may request a deposit or advance payment to secure the reservation.

For regular bookings, payment is made at the end of the workshop. This allows any previously agreed additional materials, add-ons, or extra workshop time to be included in the final amount.

The workshop price confirmed when your reservation is confirmed will be honored for that booking.

04 CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING & LATE ARRIVALS

Yes. Please notify us at least 12 hours before your scheduled workshop time if you need to cancel.

Yes. A booking may be rescheduled up to 3 times, subject to availability.

We will try to accommodate you where possible.

If there is not enough time to complete your workshop before a fully booked following session, your booking may need to be rescheduled.

If space is available in a later session, we may offer you a place in that session, subject to availability.

Guests who do not attend a confirmed booking without notifying us may be required to provide a deposit or advance payment for a future reservation.

We will offer an alternative date or time. If you have already paid and cannot or do not wish to reschedule, the payment for the cancelled workshop will be refunded in full.
